Summary of Position
Under the general direction of the Director of Care (DOC), this is a leadership role that involves the effective management of the unit (s) during an assigned shift. The RN is accountable for his/her own practice and is responsible for maintaining and providing proof of active registration with the BC College of Registered Nurses.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for assessing, coordination, supervising, administering and evaluating resident care in the assigned area;
- Contributes to the development and ongoing changes to the individualized plan of care, including attending and providing input into multidisciplinary care planning meetings and resident and family conferences;
- Responsible for ensuring procedures are followed during a resident admission, discharge and transfer;
- Provide initial and ongoing physical and psychological assessment of resident, reporting any significant changes to the DOC;
- Reports and documents significant physiological and psychological changes in resident condition;

- Graduate of a recognized school of Nursing
- Current registration with BCCNP
- Must maintain current CPR and basic First Aid certification;

Summary of Position
Reporting to the Director of Care (DOC) and under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse the LPN administers treatments and medications as directed by a physician. The LPN is responsible for the overall well-being of the resident population on their unit.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
· Provide leadership and direction to Health Care Aides on the unit
· Provides ongoing assessments of resident’s health status. This includes but is not limited to vital sign monitoring, behavior monitoring, neuro-vital assessments, following established Fall protocols and assessments, pain assessments, skin integrity assessments, and care level review assessment.
· Performs nursing care and procedures and evaluates outcomes. Administers medications to assigned patients according to specific protocols and policies.

Under the direction of the Food Services Manager, the Cook is responsible for preparation of all meals, serving meals, accepting and putting away delivered supplies, ordering designated supplies, operating all equipment in a safe and sanitary manner.

· Receives deliveries and checks for damage, quantity and quality and validates receipts as ordered.
The ideal candidate will possess:
· Current Food safe level 1;
· Must have a minimum of 2 years related work experience with a preference in a Residential Care Community kitchen working with seniors;
· Must have the ability to communicate tactfully and maturely when interacting with residents, staff, suppliers, volunteers, and the family and guests of our residents;
· Must have an understanding of texture modifications, allergies and food sensitivities.

Summary of Position
Reporting to the Director of Care (DOC) and under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, the Health Care Aide (HCA) assists the residents in activities of daily living to meet physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs and maintain optimal functioning while promoting residents’ autonomy and choice. This is a high trust position where the HCA provides the closest and most intimate care to our residents; we expect all care staff to display a caring attitude and resident centered approach to their jobs.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
· Assists the resident in maintaining a high level of personal hygiene including bathing, dressing, grooming, mouth care, skin care, nail care and hair care according to individual resident care needs as specified on the resident’s care plan. Provides bathing as per resident care plan;
· Assists resident in meeting nutritional needs by encouraging independence with eating and drinking and providing assistance when and as required. Prepares and delivers nourishments and snacks. Promotes and provides adequate hydration based on resident needs. Assists in serving and feeding the resident as well as cleaning up the dining area after each meal. Notes and records or reports changes in appetites and food preferences to the nurse/dietitian;
· In accordance with safety guidelines and based on the resident’s care plan, assists residents rest and mobilization based on their current condition/ability. This includes use of the pre- handling check and adherence to all safety protocols for transferring, use of mechanical lifts, bath lifts, use of transfer belts, assisting with walking, and ambulation by wheelchair/therapeutic chair, positioning in bed or wheelchair and use of commode;
· In accordance with established policies and procedures, encourages independence in maintaining continence, which will include: routine toileting, changing incontinence product applying and caring for urinary drainage systems, ostomy care. Collects specimens and record intake and outputs. May administer suppositories and enemas under the direction of the RN/LPN;
· Documents observations about the residents’ condition and care given on the health record using appropriate forms and reports changes in resident condition to the care team. Participation the development of resident care plans in collaboration with the care team.
The ideal candidate will possess:
· Graduate of a recognized Nursing Assistant Program such as a Health Aide program or equivalent education, experience and training;
· Must be registered, and in good standing with The BC Care Aide Registry;
· Must maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification;
· Strong competency with operating computers and health related technology;
· Ability to work as a part of an interdisciplinary team and communicate with residents, families and peers effectively;
· Ability to prioritize and manage assigned workload.
